last call for layers

Last month, I scored a great deal on this sweater from LOFT. I've managed to wear it a few times without getting any photos. When I found out that spring was on its way, I wanted to get in one more layered look before it was too late, and make sure I actually got this sweater on the blog.

Now that spring is here (60s all week!), I will start putting away my heavy sweaters, exchanging them out for summer gear. I'll have a hard time putting away my new sweater, but I'll be happy to see it again come fall (or so I hope!). Are you getting ready to take out your summer clothes? Or do you keep all of your clothes in sight year round?

  1. I have a really hard time putting off-season clothes away, mostly because in my travels (and in Seattle) I can still wear some sweaters into the summer months. And in the winter, I have an easy time layering with a lot of my tanks and tees that are lighter-weight and more summery, because it stays fairly mild here. A few things get put away, but I wish I could do more!

  2. I'm with you on this! I got one more wear out of my blanket scarf this weekend and now I can happily put it away until fall. Bring on the spring!

  3. That sweater is gorgeous. Due to having a very small European closet, I put off-season stuff in storage boxes. I have been thinking about transitioning because the weather has been teasing us here, too. I do have some lighter clothes currently hanging, though.

  4. I have a hard time putting things away too, especially when purchased as a late season clearance item! I do keep most things out all year, but bulky sweaters and scarves I put away. But then again you never know when we could get a freak snow storm in May... hopefully not this year!

  5. Hooray for spring! I am way too excited about all the 60+ highs in the forecast. This is actually the first year that I put my really summery stuff in a storage thing under the bed. I'll probably wait a couple weeks and then switch them out for my heavy winter sweaters. I like it because it's pretty easy to access, if I want something that is "in storage." But I think that will be less of an issue. I might want a tank or light cardigan to layer in the winter, but I probably won't be looking for wool in July. Anyway, I dig this layered look!

  6. I did the same thing this weekend- pulled out all my spring stuff. It's like having an entirely new wardrobe. I love that sweater. I can totally understand not being able to put it up.

  7. Cute sweater!
I keep all my clothes in the same spot year-round, not necessarily because I wear them all, but because I'm paranoid that I'll *need* to wear a summer tee in the middle of winter. I know, it makes so much sense.

  8. I keep my clothing out year round, but that is because we have lots of deep drawers built into our bed for storage....and also because I kicked my husband's clothing to the second bedroom so I have the closet to myself for now! ;) Glad you were able to get photos of this gorgeous sweater!

  9. I keep most of my clothes out year round since I can use most of the items. The super heavy wool sweater does get put away but I don't have too many of those. Great layering and yippee to 60s weather. We are headed straight into summer, it's going to be 90s this week.

Hope to see you Thursday for TBT Fashion link up.

  10. So glad you were able to get another wear out of that sweater before packing it away! Are you sure it's warm weather from here on out? I guess I'm not sure what the weather is like where you are but I know that Denver is so bi-polar with its weather that it'll probably snow again next week, even though it's nice this week. I don't trust that spring is here yet!

I didn't think I needed anymore button-up shirts until I saw your striped one. Now I'm convinced I need one just like it.

  11. Things are warming up here too! It's just in the upper 40's but that is already such a major change that it feels like spring might be coming soon! I'll put away some of my heavier sweaters but I usually keep most of my cardigans and lighter sweaters out for chillier evenings. I'm glad you got a chance to wear this pretty sweater one more time before packing it away!
