TTT: plaid (nine ways)

I'll be honest, I don't go mad for plaid. Especially when it's still 90 degrees out. I have one plaid shirt and two plaid scarves... and I'm not sure they're even plaid. It's possible that they're tartan... but it's possible that I don't really know the difference care. All I care about is linking up with Bri for another round of Third Thursday Threads: Plaid. So since it's currently too hot for scarves and button up shirts, I present you with a remix instead!

I remember feeling at my best wearing #5. I also remember spending an embarrassing amount of this past winter break in #7. Which look is your favorite? How do you style your plaid pieces?

  1. I can see why you would spend a lot of time in #7! It's definitely one of my favorite looks. Also loving #1 :D

  2. Yeah, is tartan just a type of plaid? I guess I haven't ever thought about it. And how can we slow the blogger train down so fall madness doesn't start until October? I mean, I live in the middle of the country, and aren't you up north? If it's still hot where we live, I would guess about 90% of the US isn't cooling down yet. Whatevs, I know people have to get their referral links to make their blog money. I have to say, every time you wear the plaid shirt with purple, I think it is so unexpected (like I forget you have done it before) and looks so good!

  3. I have no clue what the difference between plaid and tartan is. It's all cute to me! It's unfortunately cooling off here already (low 70s). I agree with Andi too. I tend to pair plaid with darker colors and neutrals. I like it when you pair it with coral, purples, and pinks!

  4. I think think tartan is a type of plaid - it all depends of colors. Love all of your outfits and I am with you about to wanting to wear plaid yet, it's going to be upper 90s this weekend so I am in my summer clothes and enjoying every minute of it. I am not one to rush into fall, no reason to.

    Love all your looks!

  5. I really like them all! I love my Target blanket scarf so those outfits are probably my fave. #7 is just my style with your perfect utility jacket! Since my favorite time of year for them is fall, I've been disappointed with my super thin one. A jacket with a little weight to it sounds heavenly.

  6. Ha I agree, there's lots of different "types" of plaid, but I prefer to just call them all plaid. I don't have many plaid pieces but I'm pretty excited to wear my plaid scarf again, and you've got lots of different ways to wear it here. Thanks for the inspiration!
