gravy

Last week I went to Gap to return a shirt because it was too short (further confirmation that I'm a Tall). While I was there, I couldn't help but scope out the clearance racks -- especially since the store was running a 'take an additional 50% off' promotion. Long story short, I found these pants. For $10.

While these pants might be better for spring, I couldn't wait that long to wear them. I tried to make them work the best way I knew how. What do you think about this outfit? Would you wear light grey pants in February? Would you wear cognac with light grey?

  2. $10 that's crazy! That's how I've purchased most of my dress pants too, from the clearance rack when there's an extra discount. Can't beat that!

  4. Great score on those pants! I think the color is pretty season-less and perfectly styled here :) I need to find a blue plaid flannel. For some reason, flannels are so hard to find in thrift stores!

  7. Yes to light gray and cognac! I really like that combo of neutrals! And I think February here is a little different than February weather by you. So if I lived farther south you better believe I would be wearing ankle pants. Probably short sleeves, too.

  8. Yes and yes!! I personally don't think gray is a seasonal color at all and always love gray and brown together.

  9. I definitely think those pants are appropriate year-round! I've actually been searching for gray pants like that--I might have to go to Gap one of these days...it's been a while!

  10. i'd wear all this year round! i have never understood why certain colors/prints are only okay during certain seasons. i see nothing wrong with wearing gray pants in winter! it makes me wish i did more mall shopping and could happen upon great deals like this because those pants look great on you!

  11. Oh, these bad boys are suitable for any season! They remind me of the exact stretch pants I have in gray, and I did NOT pay $10. You are winning. And so is that elephant necklace.

  12. Yep, I'd definitely wear pants this color all year long! Ankle pants aren't great for the super cold days we've been suffering through lately (although after a very mild January, I'm not too upset about it), but I know that once it hits 30+ consistently, I'll pull out my ankle pants more often! I really like the gray + navy combination here too, and that elephant necklace is so dang cute!!
