Pinspired: pink sweater + grey pants

I was so excited when Audrey announced that she would be hosting Style Challenges on her blog. I missed the first two link ups, but am ready to participate this week with a Pinspired look! This is the pin I copied, via The Classy Cubicle.

3 things to note:

  1. My mom bought this sweater* for me over the holiday break, and I feel so great when I wear it. I feel bold and confident and peppy all wrapped up in one. [We're talking potential "best of 2015" material here.]
  2. My mother-in-law got this necklace for me. My love for it grew so much when I learned that its the "Kate".
  3. These flats are new. I spotted them at Target last week for $14 but even with a 20% off cartwheel coupon wasn't ready to spend that much. I regretted that decision that same night, but couldn't make it back to Target for a few days. By the time I made it back, the flats were on clearance for $6. And I had a 40% off cartwheel coupon. Less than $5 for a pair of flats? Yes.

  9. This looks fantastic! I also had a "duh" moment with this post, because while I've seen that pin everywhere, I've never actually thought to just wear a black layer under the pink sweater to mimic the black waistband of her pants. Now I'm definitely going to do this!

  17. You nailed that look and that is so great that you ended up getting those flats for so cheap. It was meant to be.

  21. I wanted to make a pink and grey outfit for a while but I feel soooo lazy taking pictures because of this bad weather around here. But I hope I will be able to share my version of pink and grey soon :)

  23. i love this outfit! i think the right pair of dress pants can make you feel so tall and confident and stylish and that is totally the vibe i am getting from your outfit. the bright pink sweater looks great on you too! and hurray for cheap shoes at target, it sounds like you took advantage of the same cartwheel i did to get those leopard flats for cheap.

  24. You look fantastic in this outfit, Kate! That sweater is so much fun (I think I need more hot pink in my life...), and those dress pants look amazing on you! I don't understand how pants like these can look sooo wonderful on some people (like you) and so godawful on others (like me). Either way, I'm really liking the way this outfit looks on you!
