graphic tee love

When Andi announced that this month's week-long theme was graphic tees, I jumped with joy. I love graphic tees, and all tees for that matter. I knew which tee I'd roll out first: my love tee. [added bonus that it's one of the items from my 21 day buffet]. I had planned to wear it with black pants, but when the weather forecast revealed that the high would hit above 70, I decided on a skirt. But not just any skirt. My new floral skirt.

I was in Target on Saturday getting coffee with a friend. She wanted to check out the clearance racks, so I followed along. As I perused beside her, I found this skirt. It didn't have a clearance sticker on it, so I went to the price check scanner, and it showed it wasn't on sale. Boo. I decided to walk around with it anyway. As I did, a bunch of outfit possibilities popped into my mind. Since that rarely ever happens, I took it as a sign that the skirt should go home with me. Finding a 25% off coupon on Cartwheel solidified the decision.

This is also probably the most I've ever pattern mixed before. What do you think? Does this work, or is the skirt best meant for solids? If so, what color should I pair this skirt with next?

  2. YAY! I love this tee and I think it looks great with the skirt. Of course, I'd pattern mix the crap out of it. I'm thinking it would be really cute with a black/white striped tee!

  9. I think I saw this skirt on the clearance rack at Target yesterday! It's cute, and I like it with the graphic tee for sure. I bet you could add a blazer and heels to this same outfit for a work look. :)

  13. I don't think it's too much pattern mixing at all! I don't really see a graphic tree as being a pattern but I can understand why you'd think it was too busy. I think add long as the top's pattern is large and more spread out than the skirt's pattern, it'll be perfect. That skirt is so cute! Perfect length and flare to it. Good choice!

  14. Ah! So cute! I really like the print on your skirt, as well as the muted colors :) And I used to be the queen of graphic tees, but I've since phased them all out of my closet :( I wish I could find some that I love again!!
