pocket tee + pencil skirt

I've been waiting nearly two months for the weather to cool down enough to wear my sweatshirt tee out and about. I've worn it a bunch with black yoga pants and white shorts around the house, but I've been wanting to mix things up a bit. So as soon as the weather dropped below 80 degrees, that's exactly what I did.

I'm not sure that I love this outfit (I swear the shame tuck looked less shameful when I left the house) but I do love that I tried something new. Have you worn anything lately that wasn't necessarily a winning look, but didn't leave you feeling sour?

  1. I think this is cute! I love it with the pop of color from your shoes. I'm not usually aiming to find a new favorite outfit every day, that seems impossible, but I do feel that sense of achievement from putting together something a little different.

  9. I love it..shameful tuck!! I feel so sloppy with a half tuck and always feel better with a tuck that's tucked front and not the back.

BTW, I am hosting a link up this Thursday and hope that you can join me.

  12. It just warms my heart to know that someone who always looks so put-together on her blog likes to hang out in yoga pants and a sweatshirt-material tee!

Also, I really like those shoes with that outfit.

  13. You look comfortable AND hot (not temperature hot; be not confused), so I think that makes for a winning combination. Also, you've got the tuck mastered in a way I simply can't understand when I try to dress myself. It's almost always a full tuck or an untuck. I'm tuck deficient.

  14. Love the half-way tuck. That t-shirt sweater was a great buy. One of your best outfits this year, hands down!

  15. I think it's good to try something just for fashion's sake, God knows there are too many people who don't.
You did and it works well, you look comfortable in it and that helps any outfit.
