fresh as fresh can be

It's been a while since my husband and I have had a chance to sit down and enjoy a nice meal together. (He's been so busy lately with work.) We made a semi-impromptu date night out of Taco Tuesday by dressing up for the occasion. It was my entirely idea, as I've been wanting to have a reason to put on a skirt.

With the recent cool front, I opted for my new summer sweater (now on sale!) and the Joe Fresh skirt my mom sent to me last month. I'm not entirely sure if these two pieces "go together", but I honestly didn't care. I was just so happy to have a reason to put on some make-up, enjoy the cooler weather, and spend some quality time with my husband. Is it just me, or does having a reason to get dressed up make you feel good?

  1. I think the sweater totally goes with the skirt! Hooray for quality time with your husband. I feel like we've been super busy lately, too. The nice weather was a good excuse to sit out on the deck for dinner (instead of in front of the tv, like usual!)

  2. I think they go together really well! They aren't matchy-matchy, but the blue colors compliment each other! And yes, there is definitely something nice about dressing up and spending time with people you love! :)

  4. I really like this outfit, and I would wear every piece just the way you styled it. I know the Loft has had some similar printed skirts this year, but I wish your skirt was available! It's one of my favorite kinds of pieces b/c the print has so many colors in it for you to choose from. I'd have so much fun finding new ways to style it. White button up and skinny red belt...I could just go on lol.

  15. First things first - this outfit definitely looks coordinated and cohesive! It looks wonderful! I 100% concur about loving having a reason to get dressed up, especially during the summer when I'm not working. I feel so much better when I am in a "nicer" outfit, but I hate feeling like I've "wasted" them on days when I'm just at home reading and cleaning, haha.
