NLN: Grey Blazer

Okay, I admit it. Today's No Longer Neglected item is a bit of a cop-out, since I just got it last month. But I need to make sure it doesn't get lost in the shuffle! That, and the other three outfits I had on standby were nixed. (It was just one of those mornings.) I wasn't planning to wear this today, but it's been on the back burner since I saw this pin {via Merrick}. I just love everything about her outfit.

I'm guest posting for Bri today at Work Clothes, I Suppose. Check out how much I'm looking forward to spring by seeing ways I transition cold weather looks into warmer weather! This blazer + This dress? It's gonna happen.

Blazer: Merona via Target [same style, ponte]
Sweater: The Limited [option, option]
Shirt: The Limited [option]
Pants: The Limited [exact]
Boots: Dexter via Payless

  1. Love love love, and I think there's nothing wrong with including a somewhat recent purchase. It's happened to me so many times that I've bought something really cute and "waited" to wear it and then forgot all about it. I love this color combination, by the way.

  2. Well, the nice thing about making up your own rules is that you can do whatever you want!

  3. There are still a couple items I've never worn from months ago! It's totally justified making sure you are getting your new clothes into wearing 'rotation!' I love this look! Such a great blazer!

  5. Love this look! I've been really into the gray + pink combo lately, particularly since I also recently bought a gray blazer. You look so cute and polished!

  6. Great layered look! And if it hasn't been worn yet then it's getting neglected :)

    1. I totally agree! I actually wore this blazer last month here. But it's such a great blazer, it should be worn at least once a month!

  7. Well you did say that NLN wasn't just for items that hadn't been worn in a long time, and that it was for making sure all your clothes don't get neglected. This really is a great blazer, love the piping. I really liked your post at Bri's too!

  8. I agree NLN should be for new items who haven't been worn at least in a month since they were purchased. I am continuing my NLN week this week just like last week. I love your Gray Blazer & Coral Sweater. I will be checking out the Guest Post, now. =)

    1. Thanks, Ada! At one point I thought that NLN is for clothes that haven't been worn in years... and then that changed to over a year... and then that shifted to pretty much anything that is great and needs to get some fresh air :)

  9. Sorry I'm blog stalking you! I've been reading along lately, but I haven't gotten to comment on all my friend's posts! Anyways, I feel like you have such a good selection of blazers in your closet.. won't you share?

  10. i tend to forget about my blazers too as i have then hanging in a hall closet, not my main bedroom closet, so i think you should definitely get a lot of wear out of this blazer before the weather gets warmer! it looks great with the coral-pink color of your sweater.

  11. THAT BLAZER. I really like how it looks with the coral sweater, and the black piping is charming and bold. I can't wait to see it paired with your floral dress, either! C'mon spring!!!
