Pass It On :: Red Belt

Do you have a red skinny belt? How often do you wear it? When Inge told me that she has been neglecting her red belt, I realized that I had been, too! I decided that I would make it today's Take One, Pass It On item. I wore this belt on Friday with my new sweet cranberry flats, and thought they ended up looking terrible together. Several of you tried to assure me that they look fine together. I thought, what the hey, I'll give it another shot.

I don't know if it's my OCD kicking in, but it just looks wrong! If you ever find a belt to match these flats, please bring it to my attention. I'd really appreciate it!

  1. I don't have a red belt, but I think it would be a great addition to my closet. I think red looks fantastic with black and white...and that blouse you're wearing is perfect.

  2. Love it! I think red belts were made for black and white outfits. You did inspire me because I'm going to wear mine tomorrow!

  3. I think this is fun but maybe try pairing it with leopard shoes? I think when we try to match it - it becomes too difficult. I think the belt and shoes are far apart that you don't notice they are not the same shade.

I always love red, black & white together….such a classy combo!

  4. I do indeed have a red skinny belt. In the past, I think I've worn it with a black and white polka dot cardigan. Black, white, and red is always a winning color combo!
Really love the top in this outfit.

  5. okay, I have to say (since we're internet friends, and internet friends are honest with each other, right?!) that in today's pictures the difference is more noticeable. I think in the Friday pictures, there was more of a shadow on your shoes, and it just looked like that was making the shades look different.

I've been having trouble with reds lately. I got this red pencil skirt from J.Crew factory (final sale), and it's much more orangey than it looked online. Now I'm looking for a red cardigan and they are all too pink or too orange, or too maroon. I just want red. Like a crayon. This shouldn't be so hard!

  6. Oh I agree with Alice. Definitely try this outfit but with leopard flats! I loveeee that top, btw. I had my eye on a similar one at Kohl's, but it never got cheap enough for me. Definitely hoping you pass it on to tomorrow's outfit, if not, feel free to pass it to me! ;)

  9. REALLY love that top. Still, I can barely see a difference between the belt and shoes.

  11. I love my red skinny belt but come to think of it I have no idea where it's at LOL. And I have a very similar blouse also from The Limited. Love those Cranberry Flats and they seriously look great with the belt. A Black, White+Red Combo is my favorite trio of colors. =)
