pushing the (casual) line

I'm not sure if I have an official dress code. I generally opt for business-casual, but lately the emphasis has been on the casual side. I won't go so far as to wear jeans when I teach, but I'm undecided about colorful (non-denim) pants. I've been on the fence about wearing these crops to class, but today was one of those "I do what I want" days. I really wish I had more pants I could wear with navy and black tops. If you could send me work-appropriate pants that match with black and/or navy tops, that would be great. Thanks!

  3. Great look for work! I've basically always looked to grey pants for navy or black tops, but lately I've been wearing my burgundy pants with those colored tops and I really like how it looks!

  5. I definitely think those are teacher appropriate! They are super cute as well! I usually wear my charcoal skinny dress pants with black and navy tops. I also wear colored crops in the classroom.

  8. I agree those are appropriate for work. Especially if you wear a blazer and heels. I think you can wear a deep but still colorful blue, like cobalt blue, with both black and navy, and forest green too. And plaids or any other print that contain the color of your top.

  9. I really like this, Kate! You definitely look appropriate for work. I can't make out the colors exactly, but would your fuchsia blazer match with them? That might be a fun look too!!

  10. I used to have several printed cropped pants but none of them fit me, now. I could use new ones. The Limited always has nice ones, but so does Gap. The options you showed us are great. Those White House Black Market ones are great for the price & so pretty. I love the first pair from Gap, also. =)
