I'm cliché and I know it

How to dress for a rainy day:

Step 1. Check leg hair length. Choose bottoms accordingly. Skinny jeans if you haven't shaved, a super feminine skirt/dress if you have.

Step 2. Pick a cardigan, blazer, or jacket that will match your rain boots (or gardening boots in my case).

Step 3. Select a top. (I recommend plaid because it shows off how excited you are for fall, and how trendy you are by wearing clothes according to the retail calendar rather than the Gregorian calendar.)

Step 4. Add a sparkly necklace!

Occasion: Office Hours, Attending class
Shirt: (gift c/o Mom) J. Crew Factory
Cardigan: J. Crew {same style, same color}
Skinny Jeans: The Limited {similar}
Boots: Target {option}

  3. Aww I love it! I see you didn't go with a super feminine skirt/dress, hmmmm, haha! The purple cardigan looks great against the darker plaid.

  5. Today I was more like "I should wear my jean jacket. Oh, I left it at my office.... So, my camo jacket!" I was going to wear my rain boots, but then I just didn't want to. And then it stopped raining, so it all worked out!

  6. My biggest considerations when getting dressed are 1) did I shave and 2) do I have nude undergarments :P Jeans and a plaid shirt is a great uniform for lazy days as well.

  7. Ha ha! Yes, shaving is definitely a factor in wearing pants vs. skirts. This is really cute and of course I love your rain (gardening) boots (they are purple)!

  9. Hahaha, I love it! I do the same thing with shaving...although today, I had planned on one outfit (with pants) and after I put it on, I decided I needed to wear a skirt instead...so I shaved while sitting on the ledge of the tub wearing the skirt, hahaha.

  10. I love that checking the leg hair is the first step! I kind of have a routine where I'm smooth for a skirt on Mondays and then do pants or a maxi the next day or so until I have the get up and go to shave again. lol

  11. Haha love it! I especially love those purple rain boots! Aaaaand leg hair is a legit concern for me everyday. I always wear a skirt if I've shaved - I feel like I have to because I don't know when it will happen again!

  13. I love your style, and this outfit is the cutest thing!!! The dark jeans, plaid shirt, and belt are right up my alley, and the lavender adds so much fun to the outfit.
