Yesterday I went to Old Navy and ended up walking out with a pair of polka dot pants. Are they practical? Nope. Are they the best pair of pants ever? Nope. But were they under $10 and super cute? You betcha.
One of my New Years' Resolutions is to stop buying things because they're at a great price. I failed at that on two accounts yesterday; these pants were $8.50, and I bought a v-neck sweater for $4.50 (albeit from the men's section). Old Navy has some amazing deals, and if you spend $25, you automatically get $10 savings for a future purchase. I look forward to redeeming it on one of these shirts. {I'm leaning toward the sea-blue floral or purple ditsy floral, but gingham is so tempting, too!}
Occasion: Class
Top: Worthington via JCPenney {also seen here}
Cardigan: J. Crew {same}
Necklace: family heirloom
Jeans: Old Navy {same} {similar}
Boots: Lower East Side via Payless {same}

*This post was not sponsored by Old Navy... I just really like their deals :)

It's hard to believe how great of deals I scored on all of the pieces... I got the top for $3.25, the cardigan for $15, the pants for $8.50, and the boots for $20. Hopefully the outfit doesn't come off as looking cheap!

although we're all attempting to make smart purchasing decisions, once in a while it's nice to have those cheap thrills. You never know, maybe you'll get so much wear out of those polka dot pants!
ReplyDeleteIt's ok to go a little crazy on good deals. As long as you love what you purchased that's all that matters. I love the purple cardi paired with these pants!

Blog hopping today - great outfit and an equally great price!
ReplyDeleteNot cheap at all! I like to remind myself how much the original price was of things I got on major clearance. That way I'm wearing a $100 outfit, not $15 :) It looks great!
ReplyDeletelove your new years' resolution, but also love that you bought the pants!

haha, you are right polka dot pants may not seem practical, but I think you might surprise yourself with how many ways you will be able to wear them AND how much you'll wear them into this spring! Super cute!

Adorable! I love your pants and for $8.50!! There's no beating that price. I love your outfit. That cardigan is super cute! I think I need to shop with you, I tend to overspend which makes my wallet look at me with those sad puppy eyes and my hubby look at me like he's ready to chain me to the house so I can't shop lol. And def no worries, your outfit does not look cheap. I think it's super cute!

I love your polka-dot pants! And I totally understand the temptation to get things because they are at a great price. I recently had an Old Navy episode that destroyed my resolution to shop from a list and not just because things are on sale. You look terrific!
ReplyDeleteI bought the same pants the other day...haha. And because they were $8.50. Thanks for linking up!
